Secure fastening of lightweight pond nets with net anchors
Before stretching the lightweight pond net and hammering the fastening anchors into the ground to secure it, you should first check the ground. You may have placed lamps or other items around your pond to which cables or pipes run. Be careful not to hit any of these when placing the net anchors. They have a length of approx. 12 cm, so anything below this is no problem. Once you have made sure that there are no sources of danger in the way, check that there are no large stones in the ground, otherwise you will not be able to drive the net anchors deep enough.
After you have checked the ground around the pond, you can fix the lightweight pond net in place. To do this, lay it over the pond and make sure that it is taut and not resting on the surface of the water and that there is enough net on the edge of the pond to fasten it securely. Over larger ponds, it can be helpful to stretch strings or thin wire ropes on which the pond net can then rest. We recommend that you always attach the net with the narrower side first and secure it with a net anchor before spreading it out lengthways. The pond net sits correctly if the meshes are square. If these are diamond-shaped, it is either too loose or too tight. If everything is correctly positioned, you can also secure the remaining sides with the fastening anchors. To do this, turn them in or use a hammer to hammer them into the ground. The barbs on the sides of the fastening anchors ensure that the anchor can hold itself optimally in the ground. Secure the net additionally by wrapping it with cable ties on the net anchors and tightening them.
