What do you need a winter fleece 80 g and 1.40 m wide for?
As the old winter song "Schneeflöckchen Weißröckchen" teaches us, plants sleep under a blanket of snow during the cold season. But as the weather has shown us in recent years, there is often no snow on the beds, instead they are defencelessly exposed to cold wind and dry frost. It is therefore advisable to take additional measures yourself and provide your beds with winter protection. The winter fleece 80 g and 1.40 m wide offers you an excellent opportunity to spread a light and permeable yet insulating layer over your little ones. The properties of Aquagart's frost protection fleece are such that the heat is retained within the fleece, but at the same time the permeable fabric allows maximum light, oxygen and water supply. Despite its light weight, it is resistant and robust and holds back even heavy snow masses. This gives the plants the ideal conditions to rest under the 80 g and 1.40 m wide winter fleece and recharge their batteries for spring. In addition to these properties, our fleeces are characterised by the fact that they are tear-resistant and weatherproof, which means that they can be used for several years in a row without any problems.
How to use the 80 g and 1.40 m wide winter fleece correctly
The protection of a winter fleece 80 g and 1.40 m wide is particularly relevant in relation to plants that are actually suitable for overwintering outdoors - so-called hardy plants, which, however, experience the cold, wind, frost and snow as a great burden. Young trees or bushes in particular, which do not yet have deep roots, can sometimes suffer severe damage. Our white fleece mat 80 g and 1.40 m wide made of polypropylene (PP) is UV and weather-resistant and has strong insulating properties. The non-woven fibres make the fleece highly flexible, allowing it to be easily shaped and adapted to different plant heights and widths. You can simply wrap the fleece around young treetops or sack it over shrubs and bushes and then secure it with cords. With a width of 1.4 m, the 80 g winter fleece is also suitable for precisely covering smaller plants. Rose bushes, evergreen ornamental shrubs or hardy potted plants will thank you for it.
Buy winter fleece 80 g and 1.40 m wide at Aquagart
We offer our winter fleece 80 g and 1.40 m wide in rolls, from which you can cut off and use flexible pieces. Do not underestimate the volume of your plants, but it is best to cut a third more from the metres than your initial estimate. At 80 g/m², you are opting for a medium grammage, which provides adequate frost protection but less insulation than a fleece with a higher grammage, such as the Wintervlies 150 g. The width of 1.40 m makes it easy to handle.
