Advantages and properties of mole nets 150 g and 2 m wide

Mole nets are made from environmentally friendly fabrics and are an animal-friendly way of preventing molehills without harming the small animals. Moles are an endangered species and it is illegal to hunt, catch or harm them in Germany. Therefore, use our animal-friendly mole nets 150 g and 2 m wide and protect your lawn from molehills and the animals from damage.

The 150 g, 2 m wide nets are an inexpensive and effective solution for preventing damage caused by moles. Compared to conventional mole grids, they are cheaper and also easy to install. The mesh panels are also easy to roll out, which makes installation considerably easier.

How to install our 150 g and 2 m wide mole nets correctly

The small burrowers usually live at a depth of between 40 and 80 cm below the turf, so we recommend laying the mole nets around 10 cm below the surface of the lawn. It is best to embed the net before sowing or laying your lawn, as removing and re-laying the turf is a very extensive task. However, if this is no longer possible, you can dig the nets vertically along the property boundary with a little less labour. This prevents moles from entering the site in the first place. With this method, you can protect your entire property as well as smaller areas such as flower beds.

The horizontal laying method is possible with both rolled turf and seeded turf. In both cases, first dig out the desired area to a depth of around 10 cm, roll out the net and then secure it with fixing anchors. You can then simply lay turf over it. If you want to sow grass, fill the area above the net with humus and spread the grass seed over it as usual.

Important: Measure your property thoroughly before laying the mole net 150 g and 2 m wide to order a sufficient number of square metres of net. Our 150 g and 2 m wide nets are available from 5 m² to 800 m².
