Advantages of our adhesive repair tape
Our tear-resistant repair tape is 15 metres long and 8 centimetres wide and can be cut to any size to suit your purpose. You can use the adhesive tape multifunctionally in your garden, but also in your own home. Thanks to its UV resistance, the repair tape can withstand any weather, does not become porous and is therefore durable in use. The water vapour barrier offers optimum protection for your mesh film in the greenhouse, as humidity cannot escape. The strong adhesive, which adheres to all types of film, ensures reliable adhesion. However, our transparent repair tape is not only suitable for use on films, as you can also use it on other smooth and slightly rough surfaces such as plastic, wood, glass and nonwovens.
Where can you use repair tape?
Thanks to its versatile properties, repair tape can be used in the home and garden. Properties of repair tape
Our repair tape impresses with a number of outstanding properties. The carrier consists of a transparent PE film with a thickness of 80 μm and is reinforced with scrims, which provides additional stability. The solvent-free adhesive is made from acrylate and is UV cross-linked, making it particularly environmentally friendly and resistant to UV radiation.
In addition, the repair tape is covered with siliconised paper, which ensures easy handling and problem-free unwinding. With a tape thickness of 0.24 mm in accordance with DIN EN 1942, it offers solid and reliable adhesive performance. It is characterised by an impressive elongation at break of 450% in accordance with DIN EN 14410, which means that it can stretch considerably without tearing.
The breaking strength of the repair tape is 25 N/cm according to DIN EN 14410, which indicates its high tensile strength. It also offers excellent adhesive strength on steel of 14 N/cm in accordance with DIN EN 1939, which means it adheres firmly to various surfaces.
The repair tape is temperature-resistant from -40 °C to +80 °C, making it ideal for use in extreme environments. These versatile properties make our repair tape an ideal tool for numerous applications.
