Protect plants with garden fleece 150 g

Functionality and use of garden fleece 150 g

Made from polypropylene or polyester, the mesh is a lightweight, flexible and fine garden fleece with a weight per unit area of 150 g. This fabric has individual white long fibres running through it, making it permeable to light and water. The high UV resistance of the fabric ensures optimum care for your plants.

Garden fleece 150 g is used as frost protection, especially during the cold months. To do this, the fleece is wrapped around the plants. On warm days, you can remove the fleece for brief ventilation to create optimum growing conditions. In summer, however, the fleece can be stretched over fruit and vegetable plants to protect them from pest infestation. The same applies to growing flowers.

Laying and fixing garden fleece 150 g

Before purchasing the 150 g garden fleece, make sure that it covers the entire area for which you want to use the fleece. Place this over the planted area and stretch it so that the fabric sags slightly. This gives your plants a little more room to grow. Simply attach the fleece to the edges using the high-quality soil anchors, ground anchors or nails from our online shop. Alternatively, you can also bury the edges so that it doesn't fly away during storms.

Important: When you use Gartenvlies 150 g for the first time, you will notice that the rainwater does not penetrate through to your plants. You should therefore be patient for a few days until the coating of the material has dissolved. The fleece should also be aired regularly on warm days.

Differences between garden fleece and weed fleece

Garden fleece and weed fleece differ primarily in their colour. Garden fleece is usually light-coloured, while weed fleece is dark. The major difference resulting from this is found in the property of light transmission. The dark-coloured material of the weed fleece ensures that the growth of weeds is interrupted. The light-coloured material of garden tiles has the opposite effect. This is particularly beneficial for ornamental and crop plants in spring when the weather conditions are harsh. Otherwise, the two types of fleece do not differ in their properties.

Whether from frost or pests - garden fleece 150 g offers the ideal protection for your plants. This is available from our online shop in lightweight, textile materials with a largely closed but water-permeable surface.
