Soil fabric - weed film made from ribbon fabric or weed fleece
Herbicides are often used to control the ever-growing and unwanted weeds, especially in large gardens, which can damage both our own health and the environment. However, we offer environmentally friendly, professional-quality ground fabric at a favourable price to help you get to grips with weeds easily and without the use of chemicals.
Our high-quality ground cover fabric is made of braided polypropylene (PP) woven into a ribbon structure. The ribbon structure of the ground fabric creates small gaps in the fabric that allow water and air to pass through, but still reliably combat unwanted wild growth. The material and structure make the ground fabric extra tear-resistant, making it suitable for use in gardens subject to heavy use, while still protecting against frost and hail.
The ground fabric consists of a black weed film that increases the soil temperature. The soil tissue can therefore extend the planting period. At the same time, the soil fabric prevents the soil from drying out thanks to its water permeability. Whether for vegetable cultivation or in nurseries - soil fabric is ideal for use in the commercial sector. Another positive feature of the soil fabric is that it not only makes the use of herbicides unnecessary, but is also particularly practical to use on larger areas: Thanks to their high UV resistance, floor fabrics do not need to be additionally covered.
Fix the ground fabric securely and stably
In order for the Aquagart soil fabric to be effective in combating weeds, it should also be securely fastened. We offer you two options for this.
Earth anchors are robust metal pins that are used to anchor the ground mesh securely to the ground. These anchors are simply pushed through the fabric into the ground to hold it in place. Barbs on the anchors ensure an even better hold in the ground. They are particularly suitable for use on embankments and slopes, in windy areas or on uneven ground, as they ensure a stable and long-lasting fastening.
Double-sided fabric adhesive tape offers you another option for fastening ground fabric. This special adhesive tape is particularly strong and sticks firmly to the floor indoors and outdoors as well as to the fabric. It is temperature-resistant, waterproof and transparent, providing you with a versatile as well as fixed fastening solution without the need for additional tools.
Both options are effective in ensuring that your floor fabric stays where it should be and functions optimally. Depending on the specific requirements of your project, you can choose the method that best suits your needs.

With the use of soil fabrics, you can enjoy a range of benefits for you and your garden. Soil fabric is an effective method of preventing weed growth.
