AQUAGART Self-Adhesive Protective Fleece 140 g/m² – 1 × 25 m

Absorbent decorator’s fleece and stair protection fleece made from 100% polyester with a self-adhesive, water-impermeable LDPE film – 25 m² coverage for painting, decorating, renovation and moving work.

Self-Adhesive Floor Protection for Renovation Work

AQUAGART self-adhesive protective fleece helps protect suitable floors, stairs and walkways during painting, decorating, renovation, refurbishment and moving work. The self-adhesive film side provides a good hold on suitable smooth surfaces and reduces slipping or movement of the fleece.

Each roll is 1 m wide and 25 m long, providing a total coverage of 25 m². The white fleece is made from 100% polyester, has a basis weight of approximately 140 g/m² and is approximately 1 mm thick.

Absorbent Fleece Surface with Moisture Protection

The absorbent PES fleece surface takes up moisture, paint, paint splashes and typical dirt produced during building or decorating work. The transparent, self-adhesive LDPE film on the underside is water-impermeable and prevents moisture or paint from reaching the floor underneath, provided that the material is intact.

Installation Instructions

  1. Ensure that the surface is completely dry and clean.
  2. Remove all dust, dirt and release agents.
  3. Lay the fleece with the self-adhesive film side facing downwards.
  4. Roll out the protective fleece as smoothly and wrinkle-free as possible.
  5. When laying several strips, allow an overlap of approximately 10 cm.
  6. If necessary, additionally secure the edges with suitable adhesive tape.
  7. Immediately remove wrinkles and possible trip hazards.

Important Information About the Surface

The surface must be completely dry, clean, free from dust and release agents, and have sufficient tensile and compressive strength. The protective fleece is not suitable for newly installed floor coverings, porous stone surfaces or clay tiles. A vapour-permeable protective covering should be used for these surfaces.

A compatibility test must be carried out on an inconspicuous area before large-scale use on waxed or varnished wooden and parquet floors, older surfaces or heavily worn surfaces. Due to differences in materials and environmental conditions, completely residue-free removal cannot be guaranteed for every surface.

Reuse and Removal

The protective fleece may be reused if it is clean, undamaged and still sufficiently adhesive. Before each reuse, check the fleece and film sides for dirt, residues, holes, tears, reduced adhesion or separation of the film from the fleece.

When removing the fleece, do not pull it vertically away from the surface at a 90° angle. The ambient temperature during removal should be between +15°C and +45°C. Do not remove the protective fleece in freezing temperatures.

Storage and Disposal

The roll can be stored for approximately six months under normal indoor conditions at temperatures between +10°C and +30°C. Protect the product from direct sunlight, excessive heat, dust and moisture during storage.

After use, the protective fleece may be disposed of with normal household or residual waste.
